Cravings

Craving is the main problem you will have to overcome if you want to regain your health. You must be aware that most of the time the foods you crave are the ones that have created all of your health problems in the first place. Who you are now; physically, mentally and emotionally, is the result of your previous endulgences in these foods. For this reason, there must be no compromise and  you must view your cravings as enemies which must be conquered!
The only way to be victorious over your dietary addictions and cravings  is to be prepared in advance for their inevitable appearance. The following suggestions will prove to be invaluable when temptaion comes:

     1. The most important first step is to prepare a Trail Mix made up of raw almonds, sunflower seeds, pumpkin seeds, pecans, cashews, raisins, and dates and have this in your possession at all times.
     2. Always have bananas, avocados, apples, oranges and pure water available.
     3. In the beginning, don't worry so about how much you eat but be more concerned that everything you eat is raw and natural. Your own experience will tell you which foods to eat more and which foods to eat less.  The refining process will take care of itself.
     4. Be prepared for emotional turmoil because it is sure to appear. Have a plan for how you will respond to stressful situations before they come. Failure is often a result of overwhelming stress which is viewed as an excuse for giving up our goals and aspirations. Of course, we tell ourselves that when these problems pass we will begin anew. Be careful. These lies we tell ourselves can last a lifetime. Be prepared ahead of time!
     5. If you feel you must eat something cooked while in the transition stage, plan to eat only one cooked meal at night and be sure it is is vegetarian (nothing from the animal kingdom) and don't add anything to it.
     6. Get plenty of sleep. Practice going to bed earlier than you ever have in your life. No excuses! For example, 9:00 p.m.
     7. Before retiring each night, be sure you have prepared the food you are going to eat when you get up in the morning. It can be any fruit or a smoothie (see recipes) and drink a lot of pure water to clean out the toxins produced during the night.
     8. Be sure to eat two or three salads per day and include lots of greens.
     9. You must buy a quality blender ( I suggest the Vitamix ) and use it daily. Anytime you find yourself in a quandry over what to eat, throw a bunch of fruits or vegetables in the blender with some pure water and enjoy the wonderful health and energy it produces.
    10. Avoid negative thinking at all times. Refuse to argue over anything with anybody. Stay away from energy parasites. Anything that produces stress and compromises your strength in any way is an Enemy!
    11. Engage in exercise every day. It can be walking, calisthenics, jumping rope, bodyweight exercises, pushups, abdominal crunches, leg raises, toe raises, bear crawls, stretching, hill sprints, etc.
    12. Seek to do something new each day: see a movie, call a friend, pray, read the Bible, climb a mountain, sleep in a tent in the backyard,
read a book, walk in the park, camp out near a lake, record some motivational music, be still for an hour without moving, go without television for a day, spend the day seriously observing and studying other people, etc. ( to be continued ). I added these activities to show how stuck in a rut we are. We have thousands of ways to improve our lives each and every day which we choose to ignore. Why?
